Bonnie Freeman
I grew up in the small town of
Metuchen, New Jersey but have been a Floridian since
attending the University of Florida, both for my
undergraduate degree and then for my juris doctorate degree
in law school.
My legal career began in
Tampa as a Hillsborough County Assistant State Attorney.
While there, I prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases on
behalf of the State of Florida. Wanting my legal practice
to be based in the community in which I lived I became
associated with a well respected St. Petersburg personal
injury law firm where I developed civil trial skills
representing only those who were injured through the fault
of another.
Since 1983 I have
represented only the plaintiffs in personal injury and
wrongful death claims including motor vehicle, motorcycle,
commercial trucking, pedestrian, bicycle and moped
accidents. These kinds of cases often involve uninsured
motorist claims and other types of insurance disputes. My
personal injury practice also includes premises liability
cases.
In 1991 I joined my
husband Steve to form Freeman & Freeman where I have
continued to concentrate my practice exclusively in the
field of personal injury and wrongful death claims and
litigation.
I am a member of the
Florida Bar, St. Petersburg Bar Association and the Academy
of Florida Trial Lawyers. I am admitted to practice before
all Florida State Courts.
I am married to my law
partner and we have 2 children, ages 19 and 15.
